Crosswind Runway - The City of Moriarty continues to work on the Crosswind Runway Project.

The City of Moriarty Closed on the Land Acquisition for the Crosswind Runway on April 21, 2009. After several years of working on this step of the project, it is a great accomplishment to have it finalized.

The Mayor, Adan Encinias and the Commissioner of Public Lands shake hands as they close the deal on the exchange/purchase of property needed for the Crosswind runway.

The Airport Engineers are ready to start working on the design of the runway. We are in the process of applying for funding for both the design and the construction of the Crosswind Runway.

Updates will follow as soon as we have more info.

Terminal Building -

The terminal building and maintenance building projects are almost completed. The City Engineer is working on the Specs for the Electrical work and landscaping to finish off the project. The terminal building is available for pilots to use.

A grand opening will be scheduled when the projects are complete. Again, updated information will be posted on this web page.

Many Thanks!!!! to Pilot Mike Roberts who has donated his time and effort in securing items needed for the Terminal Building and for keeping the building clean and having supplies available for Pilot's comfort and convenience.
