Congratulations to the Moriarty Community Library & Garden Club
The Moriarty Community Library and the Moriarty Garden Club each wrote a grant to Keep New Mexico Beautiful for a Native Plants & Landscaping Program. Each received an $800 grant which was used to replace the trees and plants lost in the winter of 2010-2011. Various volunteers from the cub scouts, garden club, and other groups and individuals, showed up on planting day and planted new trees and put in new gardens around the Civic Center. Edgewood Soil and Water Conservation donated wildflower seeds for the project.
Both the Library and Garden Club won second place awards for the project.
