City Council

Moriarty City Government consists of a Mayor and four City Council members. Regular meetings of the Council are open to the public. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Civic Center located at 202 Broadway Street (S). The general public is welcome to attend.

The City Council is the legislative and policy-making body of city government. It sets city policy by passing ordinances and resolutions. The Council determines the city budget, appoints and removes certain appointive officials, and generally oversees city functions. They are also responsible for approving major projects, zoning issues and the City's $8 million budget.
